Sindh Institute of Advanced Endoscopy & Gastroenterology (SIAG) is seeking a highly qualified and experienced
Consultant Gastroenterologist to join our growing team of specialists dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and advancing excellence in gastroenterology services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and manage patients with gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic, and biliary disorders.
- Provide comprehensive outpatient, inpatient, emergency, and consultation services in Gastroenterology.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including Upper GI Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, ERCP, and other advanced endoscopic interventions as per credentialing and privileges.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies, quality standards, and accreditation requirements.
- Participate in teaching, clinical meetings, research activities, and Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs.
- Liaise with international faculty and collaborating experts to ensure quality assurance and continuous improvement of endoscopy services.
- Supervise and monitor the performance of Gastroenterology Fellows and Research Fellows, ensuring completion of assigned duties, research projects, and training objectives.
- Provide clinical oversight and recommendations for the procurement, evaluation, maintenance, and optimal utilization of endoscopy equipment and accessories.
- Collaborate with the Research & Innovation Department in the evaluation, development, and implementation of new endoscopy models, devices, and accessories.
- Oversee administrative functions related to the Endoscopy Unit, including workflow optimization, scheduling, inventory planning, policy implementation, and coordination with relevant hospital departments.
- Support quality improvement initiatives, infection prevention protocols, patient safety measures, and departmental accreditation activities.
Qualification & Experience
- MBBS with FCPS (Gastroenterology) or an equivalent postgraduate qualification recognized by PMDC.
- Valid PMDC Specialist Registration.
- Minimum 3–5 years of post-fellowship experience in a reputable tertiary care hospital will be preferred.
- Experience in advanced therapeutic endoscopy (ERCP/EUS) will be considered an added advantage.
