Job Summary:
The CFO will lead the Finance, Accounting, and Taxation functions of the institute and is responsible for formulating and implementing the financial strategy, policies, and control framework to ensure financial sustainability and regulatory compliance. The role supports the CEO and Board of Governors in strategic decision-making, financial planning, and policy implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the CEO and Board in strategic planning, financial forecasting, budgeting, and performance monitoring.
• Establish and maintain internal controls, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and international financial standards.
• Supervise all financial operations including accounts, taxation, payroll, disbursements, and financial reporting.
• Approve financial statements, reports, accounting systems, and high-value payments in line with policy.
• Oversee preparation of financial projections and budgets aligned with the business plan and obtain necessary approvals.
• Ensure the implementation of efficient accounting systems and MIS tools as per best industry practices.
• Maintain effective coordination with government bodies, auditors, and funding agencies, including grant management.
• Administer financial reporting, reimbursement strategies, and operational financial processes including receivables and admissions.
• Ensure compliance with all financial covenants and manage external audit processes.
• Ensure compliance with covenants incorporated in financing documents with banks / Govt
• Perform any other task assigned by the CEO/Board.
Qualification:
ACA / FCA Age: 40+ years Experience: Minimum 15 years, with preference for candidates experienced in digital transformation, mergers, and acquisitions.
